Strukturně fázová analýza materiálu WX70 po tepelném zpracování

Abstract

The topic of the diploma thesis is focused on the influence of air flow cooling on the microstructure and hardness of WX70 material. The theoretical part deals with the description of cast irons and includes the basic definition and properties of white and graphite cast irons. In a separate chapter, abrasion resistant cast irons are described in detail with their basic distribution, chemical composition and applications. In addition, the theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the basics of solidification of castings, crystallization of castings in stable and metastable systems and the temperature diagrams of crystallization of castings. In the following chapters the course of heat treatment, the influence of alloying elements both accompanying and harmful are described. In the last chapter the morphologies of the matrices and carbides and their microstructure and properties are described. The experimental section specifies the WX70 material to be evaluated and describes the heat treatment modes used for the high chromium steel samples. Microstructure analysis was performed using both an optical microscope and a scanning electron microscope. The Vickers hardness was also measured.
