Abstract

Bachelor’s work deals with problems of measurement of multimode fiber attenuation in dependence of their bending. The work is divided into two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part. An explanation of principle of the light establishment into fiber, multimode fiber analysis – their description, characteristics, types and at least fiber losses with a view to fiber bending are described in theoretical part. For the practical part it has been nessesary to choose the measuring method of attenuation for the realization in the laboratory because the next point of the work has been suggested some laboratory workplace for students for the measurement of influence of fiber bending on multimode fiber attenuation. I chose the insertion loss method on thoughts. Consequently, the measurement of influence of the number of fiber bending and their radius of curvature has been realized on this workplace. I have drawn up an exemplary protokol and instruction for the measurement for the students on the basis of acquired knowledge from theoretical part and abilities from practical part of bachelor’s work.
