Analýza kvality ve vybraném středisku výrobního podniku

Abstract

This Bachelor’s thesis deals with an analysis of quality issues at a selected factory site. The aim of this work is to find the root causes for product quality claims that occurred at the selected site in 2016 and to determine critical areas in the manufacturing process. An analysis was carried out from the observed data to discover whether individual claims shared any common factors. In addition, an analysis of costs related to product claims in the given year was conducted. The work is divided into four chapters. The first focuses on the theoretical foundations of quality management which serve as a theoretical basis for the analysis. The second chapter deals with a characterisation of the factory; in particular, of the site where the quality issues were analysed. The third section presents the actual analysis of the root causes of the claims and searches for common features of the products that have been claimed during the specified year. Suggestions for improving product quality and manufacturing processes are articulated in the last chapter. The analysis of root causes is carried out by means of traditional tools used in quality management. In order to explore the root causes of the complaints in the given year, the work utilises tools such as the Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa) and Pareto analysis. The latter is used to determine common features between the claims as well. The work determines that human factors play a great role in the claimed products. The analysis of common features proves that the afternoon shift contributed greatly to the emergence of claims. Last but not least, it is proven that the production of one particular employee results in a great degree number of claims. Based on these grounds, recommendations are provided to decrease the number of claims in the future. Suggestions for improvement focus on issue areas in the manufacturing process that have been expounded upon in this Bachelor’s thesis.
