Abstract

The primary objection of this thesis is the design and structural evaluation of selected bars and joints on the slender steel tower in Tachov, Czech republic. Process of design includes creation of a numerical model which has been developed in Scia Engineer software, and functionality was verified by simplified hand calculations. The final values of internal forces were calculated after load determination and final review of load - bearing capacity was made by hand made calculations. The computation and analysis of static and dynamic response of steel structure are also included in the documentation. The purpose of the analysis was to determine stiffness of steel structure by applying continuously increased prestressed force in anchor ropes. The final part of the thesis includes contract documents and detail drawings.
