Vliv odtěžení sedimentů na kvalitu vody vodního díla Baška

Abstract

The aim of thesis is to evaluate the hydrogeological conditions of the reservoir Baška before and after the partial excavation of sediments. Excavation of sediments was carried out by the state enterprise Odra River Basin over the years 2012-2013. The aim of this work was to increase the retention capacity of the reservoir, followed by an improvement in water quality. To confirm this hypothesis, it is necessary to compare chemical and biological parameters of years before excavation and after excavation. The first chapters deal with the complications of surface water pollution by nutrients and causes of eutrophication, whose consequence is formation of water blooms formed especially by cyanobacteria. They also describe specific proposals and precautions, whose purpose is to improve the quality of water in our reservoir. Other chapters deal with the process of sedimentation, which in the final consequence restricts water management, ecological and aesthetical function of the reservoir. It is also in the details described the process of excavation of sediments from the reservoir Baška. Practical part describes the sampling locations and methods according to which the samples were taken and analyzed. The main purpose of the practical part is to general comparison of the samples and evaluating the success of the original intention.
