Abstract

Bachelor thesis is focused on quasi single-mode fibers and their features with different kind of mechanical strain, various wavelengths, and various outputs which were bound to the fibres. Two kinds of fibres were tested. One with the average core/coat 62,5/125 um and second with 50/125 um. The main aim is to research features of light distribution in given fibers under various conditions and mutual comparison these fibers. Obviously, the next part is focused on analysis and data processing. Theoretical description of the basic concepts involved in the propagation of light in optical fiber and optical fiber description is contained in the introduction.
