Dopady pandemie COVID-19 na ekonomiky vybraných zemí Evropské unie

Abstract

This magister thesis examines the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economies of selected European Union countries. It focuses primarily on analyzing the macroeconomic impacts in the Visegrád Group countries: the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. The thesis evaluates both short-term and long-term economic consequences of the pandemic, including changes in GDP, unemployment, inflation, and trade balance. Subsequently, the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic are compared to the financial crisis of 2008.
