Abstract

The thesis aims to assess the rate of return on investment in higher education. Contains information on investments in education, theoretical background for calculating the rate of return on higher education, a cost / benefit of education. The practical part deals with the evaluation results of a questionnaire survey of students and graduates of the Faculty of Mining and Geology, the Technical University of Ostrava, which aims primarily to provide information on the financing of studies of students of theFaculty of Mining and Geology, and employability of their graduates. For calculating the rate of return on higher education is working with the statistical information system data on average earnings.
