Ekodesign jako nástroj prevence vzniku odpadu

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with ecodesign as a tool for waste prevention in the context of sustainable development and the transition to a circular economy. The aim of the thesis is to analyze theoretical approaches to ecodesign and to evaluate its practical application across various industrial sectors. The theoretical part focuses on the concept of sustainable development, the legislative framework for waste prevention, and the definition of ecodesign. Furthermore, ecodesign is examined within the context of the product life cycle and Life Cycle Assessment methodology. The practical part analyzes the application of ecodesign principles in different industries and includes original research on the level of awareness among selected companies. The results indicate that ecodesign has significant potential to reduce material and energy consumption, extend product lifespan, and minimize waste generation.
