Abstract

This thesis deals with the description of the processing technology of mine gas in the OKR, their use and processing from the beginning until today, when the trend is the installation of cogeneration units. The aim is to propose a project for energy efficient gas boiler located in the Mine area Staříč. It consists in building a combined heat and power source using mine gas, which should bring not only energy savings but also financial and emission. The key to this work will assess the project from an economic point of view (determination of net present value, internal rate of return and payback period) and outline the benefits for the environment.
