Abstract
The Bachelor thesis deals with the procedure of the calculation of short-circuit currents in three-phase AC systems including practical demonstration. The theoretical part explores the origin and causes of short-circuits, types of short circuits and use of symmetrical components in their calculation. The following section defines the rules for calculating minimal and maximal short-circuit currents, introduces the calculation method, defines relations for the determination of short-circuit impedance of devices and short-circuit currents according to EN 60909. In practical part, example of calculation of the initial symmetrical surge short-circuit current in the power system is shown. The short-circuit impedance is calculated in real values.
