Diplomová práce je zpracovaná v návaznosti na širokou urbánní analýzu Valašského Meziříčí, na základě které jsou definovány primární vztahy a městotvorné prvky podílející se na charakteristickém obrazu města. Předmětem práce je intenzivní zahušťování města ve vazbě na stávající zástavbu, jakožto možnost rozvoje a využívání volných ploch ve městě. Práce je zprvu řešena v urbanistickém kontextu, kdy jsou určeny plochy možné k zahuštění zástavby sídliště a tím zobrazena potenciálně strategická místa pro rozvoj oblasti. Ty jsou následně řešeny architektonickou studií jednotlivých objektů, které funkčně reagují na stávající potřeby bydlení ve Valašském Meziříčí a stávající formy bydlení – sídliště – jsou formou zahušťování doplněny o byty s komerčním parterem.

The diploma thesis is processed following the broad urban analysis of Valašské Meziříčí that has defined the primary relations and urbanisation elements involved in the characteristic image of the city. The subject of the final thesis is the intensive densification of the city in connection with the existing development as the possibility of development and utilization of the areas in the city. The thesis is first dealt with in a urban context, where are chozen areas suitable for the densification of the development and shown potential strategic locations for the development of the area. These are subsequently solved by the architectural study of the individual buildings, which functionally respond to the existing housing needs in Valašské Meziříčí and the existing form of housing – housing estate – are complemented by densification by starting home with a commercial street level.
