Abstract
As with alternative fuels, conventional fossil fuels are power carriers. The power is energy that has to be transformed and used in a process of combustion at power stations. The science of fuel quality data therefore is an essential inquiry connected by many calculations and procedures. Along with exacting analytical methods , accurate sampling is necessary for precise determination of a qualitative character of various fuels. In huge power corporations the aforementioned sampling is predominantly realized with automatic sampling units. However, these units may cause a systematic bias in the qualitative character of the samples and thus misrepresent the consecutive calculations based on the data. The graduation thesis investigates what could be the cause of the aforementioned systematic bias, clarifies the process of it’s validation and eventually discusses the consequences of the systematic bias and its effect on some of the balance calculations in energy industries.
