Abstract

The thesis is dealing possible environmental risks of biogas plants to components of the environment. Biogas plants are facilities which producing a biogas. Biogas is one and in the same time the main product of the anaerobic fermentation process and is used to produce electricity and warmth serving to create a heat. Input material for biogas plants is biomass, besides that also biodegradable waste, which helps decrease the amount of organic waste on the landfills. Due to only a slight impacts on the environment biogas plants expands rapidly compared to other technologies for energy production. During the construction of biogas plant, it is necessary to adhere to certain technical parameters and during operations follow the procedures and requirements of individual processes because of the proper and smooth duration of anaerobic fermentation without undesirable emissions. Bachelor thesis outlines the environmental problems associated with the operations of biogas plants and presents possible measures to minimization of these negative impacts on environmental components.
