Abstract

This thesis describes the design and creation of a universal advertising portal. The first part provides an overview of the basic forms of electronic commerce. There are discussed electronic shops, advertising systems, auction portals and product comparators. The part describes advertising on the Internet, where are explained concepts like contextual advertising, banner advertising, SEM, SEO, microformats and microdata and User Experience. A separate chapter deals with the comparison product comparators, advertising systems and auction portals. They discussed their advantages, disadvantages and direction of their evolution. The second half of the thesis deals with the design, implementation and portal deployment. The application is built on PHP Framework Nette. To access the database is used ORM layer Doctrine 2. In the thesis are discussed used technology and libraries, a large part is devoted multilingual and database optimization. The thesis analyzes the issues of importing products via XML feeds, parsing XML and pairing product with the portal. In the conclusion is described deployment portal, testing and discussed possible future development.
