Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the financial costs per member of a volunteer fire brigade unit in the Moravian-Silesian and Zlín region. The first chapter provides an assessment of the current situation and an overview of the legislation related to this issue. The following section is devoted to the characteristics of fire protection units and a description of the municipal volunteer fire brigade unit, including the process of its establishment. Furthermore, the financial sources from which municipalities cover the operating costs of their units are analysed. The practical part of this bachelor thesis consists of the evaluation of a questionnaire survey conducted among representatives of municipal volunteer fire brigade units in the mentioned regions.
