Abstract
The subject of the thesis is to provide an analysis of the financial statements of selected company. There are several procedures on how to perform the financial analysis, but this thesis contains the vertical one, which is based on the percentage expression of every single element to specified value. This financial analysis is based on the balance sheet and profit and loss report. The analyzed selected company is Vršanská uhelná, a.s. in year 2008 and 2009. Based on the analysis to evaluate the findings of fact and recommendations will be proposed in future years.
