Návrh cyklostezky v Ostravě-Porubě

Abstract

Main goal of the diploma thesis is a study of a new part of cycleway N between the building of the Poruba municipality and already existing section of the cycleway. Zone of interest is constituted by local communication and park areas. The task is to create a new part of the cycleway, make the shore of a local lake accessible for pedestrians and settle down the traffic on a nearby communication. The extent of thesis meets the requirements for a technical study. First part of the work includes observation of traffic intensity, utilization of the area and relationship given to the territorial planning documentation. Second part suggests three possible variants of a solution. First one is maximally forthcoming for the cyclists. Next one bears in mind preserving contemporary natural look of the lakeside. Last one introduces a new 30 km/h zone on the local road which would be shared both by cars and cyclists. In the very end thesis concludes the best solution elected by a multicriterial evaluation.
