Abstract
This paper analyzes the global navigation system Galileo. The first section outlines the basic principles and the allocation of European Union policies, which is a separate section devoted to European space policy, under which falls the Galileo as the main program. The rest of the work have already been addressed only the Galileo system. First, the reader is familiar with why Galileo was created, how it occurred and who participated in it. Subsequently, Galileo analyzed from a technical and factual perspective. It describes the structure and significant technical specifics. The last part deals with the evaluation of the potential uses of Galileo after his successful run in many areas.
