Abstract
This thesis describes a process of Physical investory of waste collection sites, by the GPS mapping method and consecutive optimalization of waste collection routes amongst these sites. In theoretical part are described briefly Global positioning system, graph theory and Travelling salesman problem that are related closelly to the theme. While practical part is deal with mapping with portable devices and optimalization of waste colection routes, that were solved in ESRI software products, mainly ArcGIS 9.3, extension Network Analyst. The thesis should help to waste collecting companies to improve their logistic processes.
There were used datasets released by the municipal authorities of Ostrava and Silniční databanka Ostrava in the thesis.
