Abstract

This thesis focuses on the history and presence of brewing in the Czech republic. It describes the need of key substances and their use for in production. Defines the processing procedures of main ingredients and finally the beer production. It describes the act of brewing from basic substance to the final product. Deals with the development of brewing industry, mainly in Czech republic but also less globally. Modern technology and the production one of the most famous breweries in the Czech republic is contained in the penultimate chapter. The last chapter is dedicated to the excursion to selected and specified historical museums and current important places for brewing. The excursion is primarily intended for students of the University of Ostrava. This chapter briefly describes each of the places that student could attend. There are two historical museums and one brewery. This excursion could be implemented in the lessons of Technical culture monuments. Which student encounter during their studies at VSB - Technical university of Ostrava.
