Abstract

The aim of thesis explains the concept of "Intelligent Sensor", compares traditional sensors with intelligent, summarizes the general specifications of intelligent sensors, the advantages of disadvantages in operational use and the practical part describes design of measuring chain using intelligent sensors. The first part summarize some of the latest technology sensors used in industry. The thesis also introduces the Standards for Smart Sensors and points to their possible future uses. The last part deals with the possibilities of utilization of intelligent measuring chain for sensing the microclimate of livestock, which shows and also represented an important part of the source code.
