Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the urban design and design of a residential building and a municipal house in the Bedřiška colony. The aim of the urban design is to preserve the character of the settlement Bedřiška and to bring a new layer of population to the existing one. To ensure sustainability and integration into the city, the area is thickened, civic amenities and new connections to the surroundings are proposed. The design of an apartment building is based on the need to maintain the qualities of individual living and meet the requirements for different types of apartments for different types of families in order to ensure a diverse community in the locality. The need to build a meeting space for the local council resulted in the design of a municipal house, which also fulfills other community functions and in its form creates a navigation point of the Bedřiška settlement.
