Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with carpentry joints. Firstly, the definition, description and distribution of carpentry joints. Through proper selection of material and processing development from historic wood carving and chiseling connections, to glued Laminated Veneer Lumber and processing Computer Numeric Control machine tools. In the second half of the work is discussed providing of carpentry joints against a position change. At the end are selected four joints: "King-post joint, cross lap (Tee lap), T-bridle and birdsmouth joint. The basic variants of these connections are discussed in detail and in the annex they are accompanied by a draft and assessment by the applicable prescriptive requirements.
