Projekt Overtura – EDI

Abstract

This Diploma Thesis focuses on Electronical Dáta Interchange(EDI), which is used for transfer of informations between companies and on practical implementation in real environment of concrete company. It describes EDI as technology, its history, principles, security, standards. It also analyses advantages, disadvantages and problems related to EDI implementation. Consequently Overtura IS is presented to interact with created implementation based on customer requirements. Overtura is Information System used for control and planning of production, distribution and business. Basic characteristic of IS, IS itself, implementation and architecture are described. The knowledge we got from previous informations is applied to EDIOvertura application development. This development includes customers requirement analysis, solution blueprint, application creation and its deployment in real environment.
