Zhodnocení možností uplatnění bývalých sportovců na trhu práce v České republice

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the evaluation of employment opportunities for former athletes in the Czech Republic, with particular emphasis on their financial literacy. The aim of this thesis is to specifically identify the level of financial literacy among former athletes in the Czech Republic in 2024. The theoretical part explores the concepts of human capital, career termination in sports, and the reintegration of athletes into the labor market. The practical part is based on a questionnaire survey conducted among former and current athletes, assessing their financial knowledge, money management skills, and readiness for life after sports. The findings indicate that the level of financial literacy among athletes is insufficient and highlight the need for more systematic support in this area. The thesis offers suggestions for improving educational and advisory initiatives aimed at athletes during their active careers.
