Optimalizace systému odpadového hospodářství v obci Holedeč

Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the current waste management system in the municipality of Holedeč, to evaluate the effectiveness of the newly implemented „door-to-door“ separated waste collection system, and propose measures for improvement. The thesis provides an overview of the relevant legislation and describes the current waste collection and sorting system, including the economic aspects. The effectiveness of the „door-to-door“ system is assessed by comparing the state of waste management before 2023 and after its introduction in 2024, using questionnaire surveys to identify system shortcomings. The analysis demonstrates the improving in sorting of paper and glass; however, the overall amount of waste has not changed. The economic evaluation point out higher costs, partially offset by introducing a volume-based fee in 2025.
