Abstract

Problematic of leaching in relation to processing of electrical waste in order to obtain metals are presented in this thesis. Thesis is dividendinto two principal parts. First theoretical part deals withcharacteristicsand material composition of electrical waste, its treatment methods,chemical and bacterial leaching and last but not least with description ofmicroorganism Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans which is subsequently used forbiological leaching in experimental part of this thesis. Second experimental part deals with practical verification of bacterial and chemical leaching of circuit boards in order to obtain copper and tin. Aimof four leaching tests was to find out to what degree is bacterial leaching of circuit boards more effective in comparison to chemical leaching andalso to what extent composition of leaching solution influences quantityof released copper and tin.
