Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis examines the professional training of young firefighters, with a focus on their future roles in municipal volunteer fire departments. The theoretical section analyzed the current system of youth outreach within the Association of Firefighters of Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia and assesses its current state. This section also includes a presentation of selected educational projects, such as Junior University and Rescue Camp. The practical section contains a questionnaire survey focused on the issue of training young firefighters and describes examples of training in a specific municipal volunteer fire department unit, as well as examples of a system from Germany. The outcome of this work is a proposed methodology for training adolescents aged 15–18, which includes recommended training topics and a system for conducting them, with the aim of facilitating their subsequent integration into volunteer fire departments.
