Konkurenceschopnost pobaltských zemí

Abstract

Tato práce se zabývá definicemi a měřením konkurenceschopnosti a zkoumá konkurenceschopnost pobaltských zemí. První část je zaměřena na teoretická východiska konkurenceschopnosti, definování tohoto pojmu a na konkurenceschopnost v pojetí Evropské unie. Druhá část práce se zabývá způsoby měření konkurenceschopnosti s důrazem na Světové ekonomické fórum a Zprávu o globální konkurenceschopnosti. Poslední část práce uvádí základní charakteristiku pobaltských zemí a stručně popisuje proces transformace, kterým prošly. V další části je analyzována a srovnávána konkurenceschopnost pobaltských zemí z hlediska vybraných makroekonomických ukazatelů i podle Světového ekonomického fóra.

This paper deals with definitions and measurement of competitiveness and aims the competitiveness of the baltic countries. The first part of this paper is focused on the theoretical basis of competitiveness, the definition of this concept and the concept of competitiveness in the European Union. The second part deals with methods of measuring competitiveness, with emphasis on the World Economic Forum and the Global Competitiveness Report. The last part of the paper outlines the basic characteristics of the baltic countries and describes the process of their transformation. The main section of this part analyzes and compares the competitiveness of the baltic countries with regard to selected macroekonomic indicators and acording to the World Economic Forum.
