Abstract

The diploma thesis at the outset describes and characterizes the formation of mill scales in metallurgical mill, descaling, and the possibility of oil contamination and principles of distillation of oily mill scales. Then there are summaries of occurrence mill scales in TRINEC STEELWORKS, Ltd., methods of dealing with them and the distillation technology described on the Secondary material section. The following is a focus on the occurrence of oily mill scales in the Kladno Rolling mill, a description of formation of oily mill scales, and mainly the reasons for the analysis of oily mill scales in this rolling mill. In the practical part describes sampling, processing and determination of basic parameters. At the end of the thesis, all accumulated data are processed in clear manner and based on achieved results are measures proposed to reduce the occurrence of oil in mill scales from Kladno Rolling mill including assessment of their economic and environmental benefits
