Filtrace těžkých ocelových odlitků

Abstract

The work deals with the filtration of heavy steel castings with the use of various types of filters and filtration sets. The effect of filtration on the quality of casting surface is evaluated, as well as the amount of inclusions present in castings and mechanical characteristics of steel. The evaluation of the filtration effect is documented by a detailed microscopic analysis of cast steel in terms of its micropurity, performed at Scanning Electron Microscopy and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy. The device that helped to produce steel and the types of gatings used for the trial castings are presented in this work. This work also provides a description of metallurgy and pouring technology of the heavy steel casting.
