Abstract
Master thesis is focused on problematics of determination of critical elements in water and waste water infrastructures. The thesis is composed of three successive parts. First of them, the theoretical part, obtains description of the critical infrastructure system and description of water and waste water infrastructures with the focus on water supply systems and sewerage systems. Analytical part is focused on analysis of elements of water supply systems and in sewerage systems, furthermore on analysis of threats and impacts of non-functionality of these elements.
Crucial part of the thesis is a proposal of the procedure of evaluation and designation of critical elements in the water management infrastructure. For the purpose of proposing of the procedure is at first defined a framework which determines particular components that are basis for the mentioned procedure to be defined. For each element are proposed specific criteria evaluating its level of criticality. The result of this evaluation is a numerical expression of an element criticality, which is the basis for determining of critical elements in water and waste water infrastructures. At the end of this thesis, this proposal of the procedure is verified by the practical application on selected element.
