Abstract
This bachelor´s thesis deals with properities of magnesium alloys and their use for castings in the automotive industry. It consist of theoretical part, which begins characteristic properities of magnesium. It also describe distribution of magnesium alloys, their properities and use selected types of magnesium alloys in the automotive industry. The acquire knowledge of literary analysis for use in the automotive industry is summarized in the last part.
