Abstract

This work is based on observations of aluminum foam and aluminum filters. The first part describes the properties, production, applications and future technology of aluminum foams. The second part deals with the properties and applications of aluminum filters that are created in a laboratory school here and describe their production process. The main focus of this thesis is to design ways of casting for cast metal foams with irregular structure. The thesis is mainly focused on the production and application of aluminum foams for the automotive industry.
