Abstract

The main aim of the thesis is proposal for improvement of purchasing and inventory management in the manufacturing company Viadrus a.s. which is the producer of cast iron boilers and radiators. In the theoretical part there are mentioned main theoretical parts focused on function and process of the purchasing, selection of suppliers, organization of purchasing and information system of the company. The one chapter is focused on description of company with its history, range of products, producing processes and economical indicators of company. In the practical part there is description of present situation of purchasing and inventory management with the detailed analysis. In the last chapter there are suggestions of improvement for purchasing and inventory management of company based on the detailed analysis.
