Těžba kaolinu na Karlovarsku a jeho význam pro region

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focused on mining and the importance of kaolin in the region of Carlsbad where kaolin has been processed for a long time. The general characteristics of the region of Carlsbad is given in the first part of this thesis. The second part brings an identification with this raw material and basic information about kaolin starting with its history, composition, formation and usage up to an overview of all deposits in the Czech Republic and all over the world. Consequently there’s a description of ranges of extraction in the region including all technological processes and equipments which are currently used by manufacturing of kaolin. The conclusion brings a description of the Sedlecký kaolin, Inc., china production in the region and potential trip to surrounding deposits and porcelain factories.
