Abstract

Availability increase of energy delivered in fossil fuels is focused on in the work. A model de-partment store is used as an example on which possible utilization of heat energy produced as a side product on electric power generation is presented. In the first general part there is a description of the cogeneration unit as the central element of the department store as well as the principles of the components. The next part deals with calculation of demand of energy for specific dimensions of the constructed facility and propor-tioning of output of the cogeneration unit. The final part is concerned with economy of the ap-plied method and its payout period in comparison to conventional methods of energy supply.
