Abstract
The aim of diploma thesis is to evaluate a sense of Euroregion Beskydy, infuence of its existence on area development. Thesis is concentrated on czech part of Euroregion Beskydy in programming period 2007 – 2013.
Diploma thesis is devided to five basic chapters. First chapter includes the introduction. Second chapter distinguishes teoretical background of cross-border cooperation in Europe, distinguishes territorial cooperation and cross-border cooperation in EU, euroregions generally and euroregions in CR. Third chapter connects to euroregions in CR and concretely is distinguished to Euroregion Beskydy, its determination, properties and structure. The fourth chapter analyses use of EU structural aid in Euroregion Beskydy on examples of selected projects realized in programming period 2007 – 2013.
