Geoelektrický průzkum těšínitového tělesa v Žermanicích

Abstract

The presented thesis deals with a geophysical survey, located near the Žermanice dam. The main goal of this thesis was to verify the structure and spatial extent of the local teschenite body, which belongs to the rocks of the teschenite asociation (TAR). Those rocks are sufficiently described from the mineralogical and geochemical pont of view, however, their tectonic predispostion and subsurface situation is still not sufficiently described. The geology of these rock is related to the Lower Cretaceous period and belongs to the Silesian Unit. To achieve the goal of this thesis, we use an indirect geophysical method, called electrical resistivity tomography. The measured acquired data were used to create a geological profile, providing information that satisfactorily meets the criteria of our goals.
