Abstract

ŘEZNÍKOVÁ, Denisa. Flood Protection of the Municipality. Bachelor thesis. Ostrava: VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering, 2015, 57 p. The bachelor thesis deals with flood control in a municipality and for this thesis specifically, Majetín was used as the prime example. The thesis is divided into several chapters, from introduction to the issue of floods, to the character of the place of interest, to analysis of current flood control measures and preparedness for the potential floods. In the last part of the thesis, there are some ideas to improve the flood control in a municipality.
