Aplikace metody SMED ve výrobním podniku

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to study the ins and outs of one of the lean production methods, SMED. In the beginning, the principles and history of lean production are described, as well as types of waste in a manufacturing environment, followed by lean production tools. In the next part, an analysis of the current state of lathe rebuilding in the company Novogear, spol. s.r.o. is presented. After that, with the help of applying the SMED method, a faster process of lathe rebuilding is achieved on selected machines. In the final part of this thesis, savings in time and finances gained through applying the SMED method are demonstrated.
