Abstract

This thesis focuses on the description of the experimental production of cast austempered spheroidal graphite cast iron of greater weight and thickness cast in the foundry and hardening shop ArcelorMittal Engineering Products Ostrava Ltd. In the theoretical part describes the production of spheroidal graphite cast process isothermal processing to achieve the structure of ADI. In the experimental part of the thesis specialized in the manufacture of casting and subsequent heat treatment. At the end of the experimental part of the thesis evaluated the mechanical properties and structure of the cast after isothermal processing.
