Abstract

The main theme of this thesis is a comparison of municipals economy of Velké Hoštice, Oldřišov and Hněvošice which were chosen due to their similarity - they have less than 3000 inhabitants, they are similar in their surface areas and facilities. The aim of this thesis is to describe the municipals' functioning and evaluate economy in Velké Hoštice, Oldřišov and Hněvošice according to a generic budget classification between 2006 and 20011, and to reveal causes of their disparities. Except for the introduction and conclusion, the thesis is divided into three major chapters. The first chapter introduces theory of the problem, characterizes villages and their functioning from theoretical point of view, further, it outlines the municipals' budgets and their formation. The second chapter describes the villages, their history and the present. It provides an analysis of the municipals' budgets with focus on their incomes separately in period between 2006 and 2011. The final chapter shows comparison of incomes and expenditures of the villages' budgets from 2006 to 2011. To provide an objective comparison, all the incomes and expenses are converted to the municipals' population, moreover, transport costs, water management and education were converted according to different factors which are described there. Except for the expenditure mentioned above, the thesis also deals with culture, church, media, sport and leisure activities expenses, expenditure for housing and their land development. The end of the thesis provides a summary of all expenditures and recommendation for the villages.
