The subject of the bachelor thesis of "Intersection Ostravska – Slezska in Orlova", is to offer a solution & precautionary measures to increase traffic flow and safety. The first part of the thesis deals with traffic engineering and monitoring, from which the data of traffic intensity, structure of traffic flow, directional traffic flow control and conflict situations were obtained. The second part of the thesis introduces a few new solutions of the intersections that should increase safety and traffic flow in the area inclusive of simulate the traffic in PTV Vissim program and the best possible proposal is chosen.
