Studie vlivu impregnačních nátěrů na fyzikální vlastnosti pískovců

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the influence of impregnation on the physical properties of sandstone. The first part describes the properties of impregnation coatings and impregnated materials. The following part is to described the methodology of preparation and laboratory work focused on cutting sandstone, use of coatings and application of specific tests. These tests are supplemented by the analysis before and after the coatings application. The whole evaluation is processed by using macro- and micro-petrographical description of samples, which is supplemented by the results of monitoring the depth of coatings penetration. Furthermore, the results are then evaluated by testing water absorption at atmospheric pressure, compressive strength and frost resistance. The results are summarized and reviewed in detail in the thesis conclusion.
