Abstract

Diploma thesis „School of design with exhibit center in Litomyšl“ deals with a concept of a new building which is extending current facility of Baroque granary in Litomyšl, in the complex of prior Pernštýn courtyard. This project is based on prior urban-architectonic concept concerned during classes of Atelier Architecture III. In this thesis is the project handled as a study of the building according to the diploma thesis guidelines. As a detail was concerned the connection of the roof to the frontage and the connection of the frontage to the socle. Further is concerned the interior of the school hall. The aim of the thesis is a territorial integration of a new building so the concept would complement current Baroque granary which represents the concerned complex. Into the granary is implemented a new utilization – exhibition place. The territorial concept is based on the prior shape of the courtyard, which was disturbed by newly built road I35.
