Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to study the risks and analyse the factors influencing the perception of inhabitans feelings of safety in their city.In the thesis, not only the perspective of the inhabitans but also the perspective of the state and city police and the city government are surveyed. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the issue of security, the forces that provide security at the local level and crime prevention. The practical part identifies the risks by means of a questionnaire survey and interviews with the different entities and through a risk assessment process the most serious risks are identified and minimized by proposing measures to increase the sense of security of the population.
