Analýza vývoje rentability podniku v automobilovém průmyslu

Abstract

This work is focused on analysis of profitability in the automotive industry. The aim of the thesis is performing financial analysis of Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech, PLC with different types of ratios with a special focus on profitability indicators. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, the second chapter is concentrated on theoretical foundations of the financial analysis, which describes the basic terms. The third chapter devotes to the presentation of analysing company and also vertical and horizontal analysis. The last but one, the fourth chapter is devoted to ratio analysis that the main emphasis is on profitability indicators, the comparison of the profitability of the sector and pyramidal decomposition of ROE. Evaluation of the results is made at the end of this chaptor, which shows that firm should consider using long-term liabilities to finance their needs which are financed by short-term or equity sources, leading to a reduction in profitability. The last chaptor contains a summary of the thesis.
