Abstract
This master thesis deal with a design and implementation of gateway prototype, which is largery modular. The design was approached so that the resulting device was energy efficient, both in terms of hardware and software. The designed communication gateway enables data collection from the IQMESH network and then allows this data to be sent to the cloud via LTE or Ethernet. The basic functionality of the gateway is determined by the firmware, but LoRa technology allows update gateway wirelessly at any time and report gateway status. The final PCB is designed as a development board and can be gradually equipped with eg WiFi technology. The battery was used as a source of electric power and condition and charging provides designed charger module, which contains a complete battery management system. You can use any DC source and also solar panel to charge the battery, because charger circuit implements MPPT.
